Inaugural Business Expo is Latest Step in Strengthening Cross-Border Partnerships

Arizona-Sonora Business Expo

This morning, the Arizona-Mexico Commission came together with the Arizona Commerce Authority and our partners in Sonora to kick-off the inaugural Arizona-Sonora Business Expo. The two-day event will draw nearly 100 exhibitors and 3,500 visitors, all working together to facilitate new connections, increase cross-border collaboration and strengthen an already prosperous relationship between Arizona and Sonora.

The inaugural Business Expo resulted from a joint agreement between Governor Doug Ducey and Sonora Governor Claudia Pavlovich to promote Arizona and Sonora as a premier location to do business. Led by the Arizona-Mexico Commission/Comisión Sonora- Arizona bi-national Economic Development Committee, the Business Expo aims to bring together leaders from all sectors of business.

Themes for Expo events are focused on the region's core strengths in high-growth industries, including aerospace, mining, construction, manufacturing, medical devices, renewable energy and tourism and the region's incredible strategic advantage for companies when it comes to trade, investment and economic development. The expo is presented by the Arizona Commerce Authority and the Secretaría de Economía de Sonora in partnership with Arizona-Mexico Commission and the Comisión Sonora-Arizona.
